Prerequisite – Algebra 2

Precalculus and trigonometry will be studied in this rigorous course. We will utilize the Advanced Mathematical Concepts Textbook by Merrill. This course is an excellent preparation for calculus and all advanced math topics. A graphing calculator is required.

Science classes ($725)

Tuesdays 10:30 – noon

Lab on Thursday 9 – 12 pm

Co-requisite Algebra 2

My favorite science class! In this class, we will make sense of the math behind science and perform experiments to back it up. Our main textbook will be the Prentice Hall book, but we will supplement with additional material. Labs will meet on the first or second Tuesday of each month beginning in September. This is an honors class and has a co-requisite of Algebra 2 or instructor’s approval.

AP Physics I

Wednesdays 10:30 –noon

Lab on Thursday 9 – 12 pm

Co-requisite Algebra 2

Studies in the mechanics of our physical world. We will learn about motion, forces, friction, gravitational effects. Basic trigonometry is involved, which will be taught during class time. Labs will meet the second or third Tuesday of each month beginning in September and will enhance the topics we are studying. We will use the College Physics book by Wilson and Buffa.
